Blue dragon sea slug t shirt: Glaucus atlanticus, a sea slug about the size of your thumbnail that floats upside down on the surface of the open ocean, eats bluebottles and keeps their stinging cells to use itself.

The print shows its feathery cerata fanned out in shades of blue, the way they spread when it is drifting.

If you end up explaining this one to strangers, that is half the point.

THE SHIRT

  • Women's cut, short-sleeve crew-neck tee in cotton.
  • Asian sizing, so it runs small. Compare the size chart in the photos with a tee you already like, and size up if you are between sizes. Sizes XS to 2XL.
  • 13 colours, shown in the photos: White, Black, Navy, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Red, Maroon, Orange, Deep Pink, Purple, Irish Green, Daisy (yellow) and Silver.
  • Print: front, centre of the chest.

CARE

Wash cold and inside out, no bleach, and keep the iron off the print.
